The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Monday.

--Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn has revealed that the government would provide 80 percent loan support for investors engaging in the manufacturing of construction inputs to upscale the sector.

Speaking on a closing session of a two-day National Conference on Challenges and Directions of Construction Sector, the prime minister said if investors engaging in the manufacturing of construction inputs can cover 20 percent of their expenditures, the rest can be covered by the government. --Ethiopia has earned 211 million U.S. dollars from oilseeds and pulses export during the past five months, according to the Ethiopian Ministry of Trade (MoT).

The performance has shown a 30.8 percent increase compared to the same period the previous year, said Mulugeta Mohammed, oilseeds and pulse marketing director at MoT. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)

--With the successful completion of its expansion project, the Babogaya Maritime and Logistics Academy is planning to increase its enrollment capacity and advance its training standards, according to the Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise.
