China punishes steel producers, officials for illegal production

Two steel producers will be punished for breaking capacity cut rules and two deputy provincial governors be held accountable, according a decision of the central authorities announced on Monday.

The move is the latest effort by the central authorities to push forward capacity reduction in saturated heavy industries, including steel and coal. Endi
