Seven people were confirmed dead and 12 others injured after explosions hit Ghana's capital Accra on Thursday evening, rescuers told Xinhua.

Xinhua reporters at the site said a blast took place some meters away from a gas station near the Ghana International Trade Fair Center, igniting fire that spread to the station, where a truck was discharging gas, and cause a second blast.(Ghana-Blast-Accra)

BERLIN -- No arrest has yet been made as German police carried out raids on Thursday in search of a suspect allegedly responsible for the truck attack on a Christmas market in downtown Berlin, according to the German Federal Prosecutor's Office.

Frauke Kohler, spokeswoman for the office, said at a briefing on Thursday that first forensic result lead German authorities to assume that the suspect drove the truck used in the attack which left 12 people dead and dozens of other injured.(Germany-Berlin-Attack)

WASHINGTON -- As many as 28 suspected militants linked to the terrorist group Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) have recently been killed in nine separate U.S. drone strikes across Yemen, the Pentagon said on Thursday.
