Belarus president appoints new administration chief

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has appointed Natalya Kochanova as head of the presidential administration, and Maxim Ryzhenkov as the first deputy head of the administration, the presidential press service said on Wednesday.

"The president has set specific tasks of reforming the presidential administration, optimizing and debureaucratizing the work of the entire public administration, interaction between the presidential administration and the branches of power, including the local level through presidential aides," the press report said.

Alexander Kosinets, former head of the Belarusian presidential administration, was relieved of his duty on December 5 due to a change of job.

Before these appointments, Kochanova was deputy prime minister, and Ryzhenkov was the first Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee. Endit
