Xinhua, TASS hold photo exhibition to mark 60th anniversary of cooperation

A photo exhibition jointly hosted by Xinhua News Agency and TASS Russian News Agency opened on Wednesday, commemorating the 60th anniversary of cooperation.

The exhibition of about 70 pictures taken by photographers of the two news agencies, presents a history of China-Russia relations from 1949.

President of Xinhua Cai Mingzhao said Xinhua and TASS mirrored the traditional friendship between the two countries, also helped bilateral ties through their reports and exchanges.

Cai spoke highly of communication and cooperation between Xinhua and TASS in mechanisms such as the BRICS Media Summit. Xinhua is ready to join with TASS to make bigger contribution to development of the bilateral relationship.

Mikhail Gusman, first deputy director general of TASS, echoed Cai saying the two news agencies had a solid partnership. He hoped their cooperation could continue to be an example for media exchanges between their two countries.

Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov said the exhibition showed the cooperation between the two flagship media, an example for the two countries' exchanges and cooperation in all areas. Endi
