The Los Angeles Clippers announced on Tuesday that their power forward Blake Griffin underwent a routine arthroscopic procedure to remove loose bodies from his right knee and will miss four to six weeks of NBA games.
Griffin was sidelined for 45 games last season with a left quadriceps tendon tear and a broken right hand. The Clippers went 30-15 during that stretch.
Griffin's teammate Chris Paul noted that the Clippers have been in this situation before. "Unfortunately, we've done this before. It's not like 'Aw, man. What do we do?'"
"We don't expect a drop off or anything like that. We still expect to win every night," he added.
Griffin has started in 26 games this season, averaging 21.2 points, 8.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists. Endit
