British FTSE 100 rises 0.38 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday rose by 0.38 percent, or 26.80 points, to 7,043.96 points.

Share price of Carnival increased by 3.03 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Barclays, Lloyds Banking Group, Prudential and Mediclinic International increased by 2.52 percent, 2.22 percent, 2.08 percent and 1.96 percent respectively.

Hikma Pharmaceuticals led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.26 percent, following by Fresnillo (2.06 percent), Randgold Resources (1.23 percent), Croda International (1.22 percent) and Babcock International Group (1.21 percent). Endit
