The following are highlights of South African major media outlets on Sunday:

-- The SA Communist Party (SACP) has urged the African National Congress (ANC) to urgently develop a clear policy on succession to avoid divisive fights each time a new leadership has to be elected. (City Press)

-- ANC needs to ask itself whether the divisions within the party are not the reason why it makes it easy to attack the movement, said Joel Netshitenzhe, a veteran of the ANC's military wing, Umkhonto we Sizwe. (Eye Witness)

-- ANC stalwart, Joel Netshitenzhe, warned on Saturday of serious consequences if corruption within the State and the ruling party is not addressed.

Corruption is at the root of the ANC's declining support and if the ruling party does not have the courage to correct this, it will continue to lose support among South Africans, he said. (South African Broadcasting Corporation) Endit
