Earthquake measuring 4.3 magnitude jolts south of Albania:report

An earthquake measuring 4.3 magnitude on Richter scale hit the south of Albania on Saturday noon, media reported.

The earthquake was also confirmed by the European seismological center which made an announcement explaining that the epicenter of quake was located 17 km southwest of Gjirokastra, southern Albania, at a depth of two km.

The jolts were also felt in the city of Vlora, Tepelene, Permet and in the rural zones nearby.

Meanwhile, media here said that although the jolts created panic among citizens as many of them left their houses and walked out in the streets, no material damage or wounded people have been reported so far. Endit
