7.8-magnitude earthquake hits Papua New Guinea

A 7.8-magnitude earthquake stuck near New Ireland, Papua New Guinea at 6:51 p.m. Saturday (Beijing Time), reported the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 4.53 degrees south latitude and 153.47 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 110 kilometers, the CENC said. Endit
