Turnover in German accommodation, food service decreases in Oct.

The turnover in the German accommodation and food service sectors in October of 2016 decreased in real terms year on year, official data showed on Friday.

According to the Federal Statistical Office Destatis, the turnover fell by 0.7 percent in real terms but increased by 1.1 percent in nominal terms compared to the same month last year.

Destatis reported that the turnover saw a fall of 4.0 percent in real terms and 4.1 percent in nominal terms month on month after adjustment for calendar and seasonal effects.

The total turnover in the accommodation and food service in the first ten months of 2016 rose by 1.1 percent in real terms and by 3.2 percent in nominal terms compared to the same period of 2015, Destatis added. Endit
