China treasury bond futures close higher Friday

China's treasury bond futures closed higher on Friday, with the contract for settlement in March 2017 closed 0.901 percent higher at 98.55 yuan (about 14.2 U.S. dollars).
The June 2017 contract closed 0.654 percent higher at 97.795 yuan. The September 2017 contract closed 0.485 percent higher at 97.3 yuan.
The contracts are agreements to buy or sell treasury bonds at a predetermined price and set date. They allow investors to bet on and profit from the movements in the value of the bonds.
