HK financial head tenders resignation

Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Leung Chun-ying on Monday received the resignation tendered by Financial Secretary John Tsang Chun-wah, and has submitted it to the central government.

Tsang will proceed on leave from Tuesday. During the period, Chan Ka-Keung, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, will be acting financial secretary.

Tsang's tenure as Financial Secretary started on July 1, 2007. Endit
