HK, Romania tax treaty in force

The agreement between Hong Kong and Romania for the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income has entered into force, a government spokesman said on Friday.

The agreement was signed in November 2015. It came into force on Nov. 21, 2016 after the completion of ratification procedures on both sides. It will have effect with respect to income derived on or after Jan. 1, 2017. Endit
