High level forum on sustainability kicks off in Morocco's Tangier

The ninth edition of the international MEDays Forum opened on Thursday in Tangier under the there of "From fragmentation to sustainability: Revolutionizing paradigms."

The annual forum MEDays is considered a strategic meeting for global players involved in the geostrategic, political, economic and social spheres of southern countries and more specifically the Mediterranean, African and Arab regions.

The Amadeus Institute, an independent Moroccan think tank, organizes this year's MEDays forum.

Speaking on this occasion, the president of the Amadeus Institute, Brahim Fassi Fihri, stressed the need for developping new paradigms in order to ensure peace, stability and sustainable development in a world suffering from "an uncertain geopolitical climate."

The sustainable development and economic emergence of the countries of the South and of Africa will be high on the agenda of this forum, he added.

Over 3,000 participants and 120 high-level speakers will take part in the forum, which runs till Dec 10. Endit
