Philippine president to visit Cambodia, 2 deals expected to be signed

President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte will embark on a state visit to Cambodia on Dec. 13 and 14, where he will attend a signing ceremony of two deals, said a Cambodian foreign ministry's statement on Thursday.

His upcoming visit is made at the invitation of Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, the statement said.

During the stay, the Philippine president will hold bilateral talks with Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen, and then the two leaders will witness the signing ceremony of two documents, it said.

The documents are a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in combating transnational crime and a memorandum of agreement on sports cooperation, the statement added. Endit
