The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Wednesday.

--Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn said Ethiopia wants to share the economic model that enabled South Korea to transform from among the poorest countries in the world to a developed one within a short period.

The premier conferred on Tuesday with South Korea's Foreign Affairs Minister Yun Byung-se on the progress made in the relation between the two countries since President Park's visit to Ethiopian last May. (Ethiopian News Agency/ENA)

--Ethiopia and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) have signed a financial agreement amounting 114.5 million U.S. dollars to boost small-scale irrigation development program in Ethiopia.

The agreement was signed in Rome, Italy by Mulugeta Alemseged, Ambassador of Ethiopia to Italy and Kanayo F. Nwanze, President of IFAD. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)

--State-owned Development Bank (DBE) of Ethiopia has reworked its lending policy to cater to foreign horticulture investors as the country looks to entice international investors to invest more into the fledgling industry.

The order came from the Investment Board, which is presided by Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn. The Board has notified DBE to exempt foreign horticulture investors from the 50 percent deposit requirement the bank set to all foreign investors who seek to access the bank's capital funding.
