Four people were killed, at least 1 injured and scores of houses, buildings were damaged as magnitude-6.4 quake hit Aceh province on Wednesday, officials said.

"Four people were killed in Pidie district and one person was injured," Heni, a press officer for emergency at the provincial disaster agency told Xinhua by phone.

At least dozens of houses, religious buildings, buildings and other infrastructure facilities were damaged, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesman of national disaster, management agency told Xinhua via phone. Endit
