British FTSE 100 rises 0.24 pct on Monday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Monday rose by 0.24 percent, or 16.11 points, to 6,746.83 points.

Share price of Antofagasta increased by 4.90 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Glencore, Carnival, Anglo American and Tesco increased by 4.44 percent, 3.38 percent, 2.81 percent and 2.73 percent respectively.

Fresnillo led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 4.10 percent, following by Randgold Resources (3.18 percent), United Utilities Group (2.72 percent), Severn Trent (2.49 percent) and Polymetal International (2.01 percent). Endit
