Ambassador hails China-Belgium exchanges and cooperation

Chinese Ambassador to Belgium Qu Xing has hailed cooperation between China and Belgium since the two countries established their diplomatic relations 45 years ago.

When addressing a table tennis friendship tournament here on Friday, Qu said China and Belgium have made great achievements in the exchanges and cooperation in many fields, such as in politics, economy and sports, since 1971.

To mark the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Belgium, a table tennis friendship tournament was held in Belgium.

A total of 48 Belgian and Chinese table tennis players aged under 30 participated in the event, which ended on Friday.

Ismail, a 14-year-old from Belgium, and Li Ting, a Chinese student from Ghent, won the doubles championship, while Alexy from the Logis Auderghem in Brussels won the singles championship. Enditem
