Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry continued his hot shooting streak with a game-high 24 points and six three-pointers in the team's 113-80 blowout win over Los Angeles Lakers in Friday evening NBA action.

With the win, Raptors extend their winning streak to five games and improve to 13-6 on the season. The 33-point margin of victory is Toronto's largest of the season.

In Friday's win, Lowry scored more than 20 points for the third straight game while shooting an impressive 66.7 percent (6-for-9) from beyond the arc. Over the past four games, the 30-year-old Philadelphia native is shooting the three-ball at a blistering 71.4 percent clip (20-for-28).

"He's been shooting the ball extremely well. He works on it, he puts in the time," said Raptors head coach Dwane Casey following the victory. "There's no replacement for that when he puts in the time like he does on his shot, he's a three-point shooter."

Lowry struggled earlier in the season, averaging 17.3 points on 37.5 percent from the field and 28.6 percent (18-for-63) from three in the first ten games. In the nine games since, the 11-year-veteran has bounced back to average 23.5 points on 48.3 percent from the field and 52.9 percent (37-for-70) from the perimeter.

"Early in the year, everyone was panicking when he wasn't making his shots. He's a shooter and it's always going to come back," said Casey, who never lost trust in his two-time All-Star.

Lowry is coming off an season where he started the All-Star game for a second straight year and had career highs in points per game (21.2), three-pointers made (212), and three-point percentage (38.8 percent). The team ultimately won a franchise-record 56 games in the regular season and reached the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time ever. Endit
