Landslides hits western Indonesia again, leaving 1 dead, 2 wounded

One person was killed and 2 others sustained from injury after as landslides struck again East Java province in western parts of Indonesia, disaster agency official said on Saturday.

Heavy rains triggered soil at a hill fell and hit a house in Plosorejo village of Karanganyar district, said Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesman of national disaster management agency.

"The owner of the house was killed and two others people wounded," he told Xinhua by phone.

On Nov. 30, landslides hit another village, Bulurejo village, inn the district, leaving 1 person dead with 2 others still missing, he has said.
