Spanish stock market falls 0.72 pct, closes at 8,607 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 fell 0.72 percent on Friday to close at 8,607.10 points, down from the 8,669.20 points of Thursday.

Share values were down 0.8 percent in the week as a whole with the Spanish risk premium going from 135 points on Monday to 123 points of Friday, and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate going from 1.57 percent at the beginning of the week to 1.58 percent on Friday closing time.

On Friday session, Banco Popular shares led falls losing 4.57 percent, followed by Melia Hotels, Gamesa, Grifols, Bankia and Banco Sabadell that lost 2.47 percent, 2.14 percent, 2.10 percent, 2 percent and 1.71 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Tecnicas Reunidas shares led rises climbing 2.52 percent, followed by Gas Natural, Merlin, Enagas, R.E.C. and Cellnex that rose 1 percent, 0.74 percent, 0.61 percent, 0.60 percent and 0.27 percent respectively. Endit
