Vietnam's traffic accidents decline in Jan-Nov

Between January and November, 19,429 traffic accidents occurred in Vietnam, killing 7,907 people, severely injuring 5,444 people and lightly hurting 11,740 others, the country's Traffic Police Department said Thursday.

The numbers of traffic accidents, deaths and severe injuries and slight injuries caused by the accidents declined, respectively by 6.8 percent, 1.5 percent, 2.2 percent and 13.7 percent from a year earlier.

On average, in the first 11 months of this year, Vietnam each day saw 58 traffic accidents which claimed 24 lives and injured 51 people.

The country reported 22,404 traffic accidents which killed 8,671 people and injured 20,556 others in 2015. Enditem
