Vietnamese trade, industry officials asked to declare incomes to prevent corruption

Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has asked all leaders of groups and companies under the ministry to declare their total incomes for 2016.

The move aims at improving transparency to prevent corruption, according to the MoIT on its website on Tuesday.

Accordingly, leaders of the ministry, offices, departments and representatives at joint-stock companies must all report their incomes. While the ministry's inspectors will collect, review and report the data, the Human Resource Department is assigned to direct and monitor the process.

The latest statistics by the MoIT showed that the monthly wages of the leaders in its companies ranged from 38 million Vietnamese dong (1,600 U.S. dollars) to 74 million Vietnamese dong (3,200 U.S. dollars). Enditem
