According to Armin Kajmakovic, director of the Sarajevo International Airport, the airport currently hosts 12 airline companies, linking Sarajevo with 13 destinations.

"In August(this year), we set a new record for the number of passengers served by one month with 118,350 passengers," said Kajmakovic.

He emphasized that the airport expects 800,000 passengers in the whole year, which will break another record.

Considerable efforts were also made in bringing new airline companies, Wizz Air's Sarajevo-Budapest and Qatar Airways's Sarajevo-Doha airlines are supposed to be introduced in early 2017. Endit
