Hong Kong stocks close 0.47 pct higher

Following news that the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect will open on Dec. 25, Hong Kong stocks rose 0.51 percent to 22,723.45 points on Monday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 22,738.94 and 22,964.02. Turnover totaled 70.57 billion HK dollars (about 9.09 billion U.S. dollars). Endit
