Adams leads Xinjiang to hold on for 112-107 win over Liaoning

Xinjiang Kept their unbeatean record at home after beating Liaoning 112-107 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league here on Sunday.

Darius Adams scored 24 points and 10 assists, including a 3-pointer with 18.3 seconds left to seal the victory for Xinjiang. Li Gen led Xinjiang with 25 points while Ben Bentil added 23 points, Wang Zirui had 12 points, 7 assists and 5 steals.

Lester Hudson and Shavlik Randolph combined with 58 points for Liaoning.

Xiniang went on an 13-4 run to end the first quarter with a 31-15 lead and built the margin as many as 20 at the half time. Xinjiang was ahead with 15 points in the midway of the third quarter but Liaoning bounced back to cut the deficit to 8 points heading into the fourth.

Despite Xinjiang regain a 18 poins lead, Hudson led Xinjiang pulled within two point late in the period, However, Adams's 3-pointer helped the Thunder position themselves for the win.

Yi Jianlian had 28 points and 15 rebounds to help Guangdong beat Shangdong 104-94 for their sixth straight victory. Carlos Boozer contributed 18 points and 15 rebounds whlie Donald Sloan added 17 points. Former Miami Heat player Norris Cole injured and forced to leave the game with only 2 points.

Jimmer Fredette scored a game-high 39 points to give Shanghai a 102-90 victory against the defending champion Sichuan, who drop to 5-6.

Jiangsu shocked Beijing 117-104 as Stephon Marbury had 27 points and 7 assits.Samardo Samuels finished with 28 points and Marshon Brooks added 26 points for Jiangsu.

In other games, Shanxi overwhelmed Fujian 123-103, Shenzhen beat Bayi 84-77, Guangzhou smashed Tianjian 108-89, Jilin edged Qingdao 101-97, Aolong tamed Tongxi 112-103, and Guangsha defeated Zhejiang 130-102. Endit
