French stock market index CAC 40 gains 0.17 pct Friday

French stock market index, the CAC 40, gained 0.17 percent and closed at 4,550.27 points on Friday.

Altogether 23 of the 40 listed companies on the CAC 40 increased on Friday.

The top three gainers on Friday were Danone, up 1.83 percent, Solvay, up 1.52 percent, and Engie S.A., up 1.09 percent.

The three top losers on Friday were Technip, whose shares dropped by 3.18 percent, Lafargeholcim, by 1.93 percent, and Peugeot, by 0.96 percent.

The CAC 40 increased slightly by 0.29 percent to close at 4,542.56 points on Thursday, up 13.35 points from the previous trading day. Endit
