Int'l football tournament to be held in southern Vietnam

Eight teams from five countries will compete at an international football tournament slated for Dec. 2-11 in Vietnam' s southern Binh Duong province, its organizers announced on Friday.

The tournament, the 'BTV Number One Cup,' will lure four leading football clubs from Vietnam, including Than Quang Ninh, SHB Da Nang, Hai Phong and Becamex Binh Duong, a student team from South Korea, Bangu Atlectico from Brazil, Shonan Bellmare from Japan and Boeung Ket Angkor from Cambodia.

The tournament's total cash prizes for the three best-performing teams stand at some one billion Vietnamese dong (45,000 U.S. dollars). Endit
