Taiwan unemployment rate falls to 3.95 pct in October

Taiwan's unemployment rate was 3.95 percent in October, down 0.04 percent from September, and 0.05 percent higher year on year, the island's statistics agency said Tuesday.

There were around 464,000 unemployed people in Taiwan at the end of October and 11.29 million in employment, according to a statement on the agency's website.

New university graduates' entry into the labor market in the month were cited as having an affect on the figures. < The seasonally-adjusted rate of unemployment for the month was 3.9 percent, down 0.03 percent form September, the agency added. Endi
