Bulls' Butler, Pelicans' Davis named Players of the Week

The Chicago Bulls' Jimmy Butler and Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans were named NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week on Monday.

The Bulls went 3-1 last week when Butler averaged a East conference second best 27.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists. He had 27 points and 12 rebounds in a 113-88 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Nov. 15 and grabbed 20 points and 12 rebounds in an 85-77 win over the Utah Jazz on Nov. 17. In his final game of the week, Butler scored a season-high 40 points to lead the Bulls over the Los Angeles Lakers 118-110 on Nov. 20.

The Pelicans was 3-0 last week with Davis played and 3-1 overall. The only loss happened during Davis' absence. Davis averaged a league-high 33.7 points, 13.7 rebounds and 3.0 blocks. He grabbed 38 points and six assists in the win against Portland on Nov. 18 and had 38 points and 16 rebounds in the overtime win over Charlotte on Nov. 19. Endit
