Number of road traffic accident fatalities in Germany rises slightly in Sept.

The number of road traffic accident fatalities in Germany rose slightly by 2 percent in September year on year, official data showed on Monday.

A total of 322 people died in German road traffic accidents, an increase of six persons compared to the same month last year, the Federal Statistical Office Destatis reported.

From January to September 2016, a total of 2,428 people lost their lives in road traffic accidents, which represents a decline of 165 persons compared to the same period last year.

In addition, the number of people injured in road traffic accidents in September rose by 1.0 percent year on year to 297,815, according to preliminary results of Destatis. Endit
