The following are highlights of leading Nigerian media outlets on Monday.

-- President Muhammadu Buhari will soon send a "reworked" list of non-career ambassadorial nominees to the Senate for confirmation.

The Senate had last week rejected the 46 non-career ambassadorial nominees earlier sent to it by Buhari for approval. (The Punch)

-- Foreign exchange crisis, rising consumer prices and artificial lending rates set by commercial banks will remain the priority of monetary policy makers as they resume meetings on Monday. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) says it is not considering reduction of the two-digit benchmark rate it set 12 months ago -- 12 percent in March 2016 and 14 percent since July. (The Guardian)
