Dollar trades a fraction under 111 yen line in early trade in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar changed hands marginally below the 111 yen line in early deals in Tokyo on Monday morning, on hopes for U.S. president-elect Donald Trump's potential stimulus measures.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 110.93-94 yen compared with 110.87-97 yen in New York and 110.70-71 yen at 5 p.m. on Friday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, was quoted at 1.0583-0584 dollars and 117.41-43 yen against 1.0586-0596 dollars and 117.46-56 yen in New York and 1.0603-0605 dollars and 117.38-42 yen in late afternoon trade on Friday. Endit
