Meat lovers in Singapore are getting the chance to taste the renowned roast meats by Michelin-starred Kam's Roast Goose which is originated in China's Hong Kong SAR, as the Kam's launched the first Singapore outlet on Saturday.
Due to challenges in finding geese with high quality in Singapore, the Kam's Roast decided to offer Roast Duck in the city state for its international debut after experiment with over 30 kinds of ducks with the same roasting technique.
Hardy Kam, director of Kam's Roast, said whether it is serving duck or goose, the restaurant keeps to its four-hour preparation time from kitchen to table, to maintain its original standards. Their signature dishes in the newly launched outlet, such as Roast Duck and Suckling Pig, will have the gourmet rubbing hands with glee.
The Kam's Roast in Singapore will also present another must-try 'Toro' Char Siu with secret recipe by Kinsen Kam Kwan Sing, who was once the second-generation owner at the famous Chinese restaurant Yung Kee in China's Hong Kong.
When asked whether the Kam's will start business in the Chinese mainland, Hardy Kam noted China is a huge market, and of course there is potential. At this stage, he is focusing on operating the newly launched outlet. "It could be the future plan, but let me set things one by one."
Kam's Roast Goose was awarded the Michelin Star in the 2015 and 2016 editions of Michelin Guide Hong Kong and Macau. Just a few days ago on Nov. 9, Michelin announced that the Kam's Roast Goose will be awarded a Michelin star again for the third consecutive year in its 2017 selections. Endit
