Dollar changes hands above 110 yen line on hope of rate hike, Trump economic policies

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 110 yen zone early Friday morning in Tokyo as market expects a U.S. interest rate hike next month as well as the U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's economic stimulus policies.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 110.24-25 yen compared with 110.06-16 yen in New York and 109.01-02 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday.

The euro fetched 1.0622-0623 dollars and 117.09-10 yen against 1.0615-0625 dollars and 116.95-117.05 yen in New York and 1.0714-0715 dollars and 116.79-83 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon. Endit
