U.S. dollar climbs against most major currencies

The U.S. dollar rose against most major currencies on Wednesday after hawkish remarks from Federal Reserve officials bolstered market speculation for an interest-rate hike by year-end.

In late New York trading, the euro dropped to 1.0670 dollars from 1.0720 dollars, while the dollar bought 109.35 Japanese yen, higher than 109.13 yen in the previous session. Enditem
