Singapore stocks close 0.13 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 3.56 points, or 0.13 percent, to close at 2,793.99.

A total of 1.73 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.26 billion Singapore dollars (882 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 201 to 185, while 519 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 10.28 points, or 0.37 percent, to close at 2,797.55 on Tuesday. Endit
