The 64-year-old minister took to social media to share the news about her ailment and said that she is currently on dialysis at the country's premier All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). She was admitted to the hospital on Nov. 7.
"I am in AIIMS because of kidney failure. Presently, I am on dialysis. I am undergoing tests for a Kidney transplant. Lord Krishna will bless," Swaraj tweeted.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Chief Minister of Indian-controlled Kashmir Omar Abdullah were among the first to wish her well on Twitter. "Our sincere prayers sushma ji. Hope u get well soon," Delhi's Chief Minister wrote.
This is not the first time in recent years that she has been admitted to the hospital. In April this year, Swaraj was admitted to the same hospital after she complained of chest congestion and she was discharged after being treated for fever and pneumonia symptoms. Enditem
