A Utah high school student stabbed five of his classmates in the school locker room on Tuesday morning.

According to local police, a 16-year-old student at Mountain View High School in Orem, stabbed five boys and then himself with a knife.

"The stab wounds... about three inches, were mostly to the neck and upper torso of the victims," the USA Today reported, "though none of the injuries were considered life-threatening."

All six of the victims were transported to local hospitals afterwards, and four of them were still hospitalized Tuesday afternoon.

With excellent grades, the suspect had "no record of disciplinary trouble" before, according ABC News. The motivation of the stabbing is still under investigation.

The school with more than 1,400 students, was shut down for about an hour after the stabbing, and is now returning to normal.

Utah Governor Gary Herbert tweeted after the incident that "It's a community close to our hearts. My prayers are with the students and staff." Endi
