Xinhua, November 16, 2016 Adjust font size:

Jordan's Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh said Tuesday that the kingdom will host the 28th Arab Summit on March 29, 2017, the state-run Petra news agency reported.

He said that there will be political and economic meetings for Arab officials and ministers ahead of the summit.

The minister also said Jordan will coordinate with the Arab League in holding the summit.

King Abdullah II of Jordan will send invitations to Arab leaders, he added.

Jordan decided to host the summit after Yemen said it was unable to host it due to domestic unrest. Endit
