U.S. financial markets witnessed wild swings after U.S. Republican Donald Trump won the country's presidential election, but then stabilized and regained momentum as Wall Street further digested information about the country' s election results.

MEXICO CITY -- Following the victory of Donald Trump in the U.S. presidential election on Tuesday, reactions poured in from across Latin America. New right-wing governments as seen in Peru reacted with cautious optimism while old foes like Venezuela hoped beyond hope for a new future.

LUSAKA -- The Zambian embassy in South Africa on Wednesday issued a travel alert on citizens traveling to South Africa after seven "Zambian senior officials" had been reportedly robbed there.

"We have noted with concern frequency in which Zambians are victims of crime especially those arriving at Oliver Tambo International Airport and staying overnight to transit to other countries," according to its statement. (Zambia-Travel alert)

COPENHAGEN -- Danish food processing company, Danish Crown, plans to invest about 300 million Danish kroner (44 million U.S. dollars) in building a processing and retail product plant in China, the company announced on Wednesday.

The Europe's largest pork producer, dealing primarily in meat processing of pork and beef, said in a statement that the new plant will be located in Shanghai and the production will be based on Danish raw material. (Denmark-China-Pork)
