British FTSE 100 rises 1.00 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday rose by 1.00 percent, or 68.71 points, to 6,911.84 points.

Share price of Ashtead Group increased by 11.51 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Fresnillo, Antofagasta, Shire and Rio Tinto increased by 10.69 percent, 8.91 percent, 8.29 percent and 6.84 percent respectively.

J Sainsbury led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 6.58 percent, following by Experian (3.30 percent), SSE (3.17 percent), DCC (2.44 percent) and WPP (2.43 percent). Endit
