U.S. Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton Wednesday hoped for a peaceful transfer of power to president-elect Donald Trump.

"Last night, I congratulated Donald Trump and offered to work with him on behalf of our country," Clinton said in her first public concession speech after losing the presidential election to the Republican candidate.
