The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Tuesday.

-- The Zambian government has projected to create more than 10, 000 jobs at the close of 2017 due to the new mining investments.

Minister of Mines and Minerals Development Christopher Yaluma said the 10,000 jobs would be attained after the completion of on-going mineral explorations in the northern part of the country. (Times of Zambia)

-- A Chinese firm expects to start constructing a motor vehicle assembling plant in Zambia after approval by environmental authorities.

Last year, Gonow Zambia Limited, which has been marketing Gonow motor vehicles in Zambia, had submitted an environmental impact assessment for review to the Zambia Environmental Management Agency for the proposed construction of the motor vehicle assembly plant in Lusaka, the country's capital.
