Chinese shares open higher Tuesday

Chinese stocks opened higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.24 percent to open at 3,140.94 points.

The smaller Shenzhen Component index opened 0.36 percent higher at 10,734.07 points. The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was up 0.38 percent to open at 2,138.45 points. Endi
