Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev on Monday agreed to cooperate in nuclear and economic fields.
Abe and Nazarbayev, following their meeting, issued a joint communique underscoring their countries' continued cooperation, with both countries highlighting the fact that 2017 will mark 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Nazarbayev, who is visiting Japan for the fourth time, and is slated to address Japan's upper house of parliament on Tuesday, said he hoped for further support from Japan, particularly in terms of Japan's tech know-how, to aid its agricultural, car making and other manufacturing industries.
Nazarbayev's four-day tour here will conclude on Wednesday. Endit
