The following are news highlights in leading Nigerian media outlets on Monday.

-- Contrary to speculations that talks with Boko Haram over the remaining 197 abducted Chibok school girls have broken down, the Federal Government has insisted that negotiation for their release is ongoing.

Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Lai Mohammed stated that there was no truth in the speculation making the rounds in Abuja, adding talks were still on but he did not give details because of the security nature of the negotiation. (The Guardian)

-- The Federal Government, last weekend, said it would undertake a review of the pricing template for petrol, to forestall a further increase in the price of the commodity. (Vanguard)
