Dollar trades above 104 yen line as Clinton not to face criminal charges over e-mail scandal

The U.S. dollar traded above the 104 yen line in early deals on Monday in Tokyo, higher than levels seen at the end of last week, as an FBI review of an e-mail scandal involving Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton concluded she will not face criminal charges.

As markets here opened, the dollar was quoted at 104.20-21 yen compared with 103.05-15 yen in New York and 103.23-25 yen at 5 p.m. on Friday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1095-1095 dollars and 115.60-62 yen against 1.1137-1147 dollars and 114.85-95 yen in New York and 1.1096-1098 dollars and 114.55-59 yen in late trade on Friday afternoon. Enditem
